Food Safety Manager (Marshfield)
This position leads the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions within the organization. This position provides leadership and direction to all aspects of the quality effort, including regulatory compliance, vendor compliance and support, and customer service, as well as technical and operational support to product development, assembly and warehousing. This includes management of laboratory staff and microbiological testing programs, administration of ingredient and nutritional labeling programs, and development and implementation of Food Defense and Food Safety programs (including but not limited to GMPs, Product Traceability, Allergen Control, Pest Control, Recall, Transportation, & Recordkeeping). The Quality Assurance Manager plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act and regulatory updates. Qualifications include a Bachelors degree in Food Science or related field, plus 5 years of experience managing food safety and quality programs. Candidates must have excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills, and must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. Experience with food safety, GMPs, HACCP, SQF and FSMA is essential for success in this position.
This position develops catalog and internet merchandising plans to help the organization meet its goals. The Buyer remains future oriented, harnesses creativity and utilizes research and data analysis to help ensure the business remains competitive. This includes fostering internal and external partnerships to ensure product needs are met. Qualifications include an Associate degree in Business; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates must have at least 3 years of verifiable experience in buying or product development. The ideal candidate will have the ability to use retail math skills to analyze and interpret data, communicate effectively with internal and external customers/suppliers, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, solve problems, manage time and supervise others. This position may require occasional travel to trade shows, usually averaging 3-4 days per trip several times during the year.

The ideal candidate will possess: a minimum of 3 to 5 years experiences in the mail-order or marketing promotions and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, math or related area.
