Close to the Hungarian kalács
My mother made the Hungarian kalács at Easter and Christmas. The only difference was her dough was paper thin. She also used lekvár, (Prune butter) I buy kolacky often from Figis. This Christmas I gave 2 each for my Nieces and Nephew and for myself. total 11. I sure would recommend it. Thank you for this product.

dry and flavorless
poppy seed kolachky was dry and tasteless. hardly contained any poppy seeds

tastes just like I remember it!
I used to get these rolls from my grandparents in Pennsylvania, and they were wonderful - made from a local bakery. They would send them to me for the holidays, so I was was ecstatic to find them online! I ordered them for when my parents were visiting, and they were just as great as we all remembered them.
I ordered the walnut (favorite) and poppyseed - both were fantastic, and had a good amount of filling. Very happy, and will be ordering them in the future for sure!
With a discount/promotion offered around the holidays, the price (+ shipping) was definitely acceptable - otherwise a little pricey with no discount.

These are amazing. I ordered 2 walnut kolacky's. They didn't last long. I am going to order more.

this is the real thing !!!! moist and delishious. i will absolutly i will buy several more. we used to get two homemade ones every year, from my aunt, i never thought i would , have another one like those. yours hit the target on the nose, i couldn.t quit snacking on them !!!

Tasted Exactly Like it Should.
I ordered 3 for myself and sent 1 (all poppyseed) to my sister.
They were very good, not dry and had good amount of poppyseed filling. Not sure why some people complained. I used to make these every Saturday. It was great to see someone still offers them especially the poppyseed.
