I've always wanted to try one of these...
I was so excited to place my order this year. I have always wanted to try one of these and I am so happy to report that I was in love with it. Now, I was highly anticipating how my mother would like it. She took a bite and she just looked at me. I knew I was in for a world of hurt feelings but she looked at me and goes, "this brings back so many memories..." My grandmother used to make a nut cake that was soaked in alcohol for several weeks. Apparently, this has the same taste to my mother. She was beyond happy with it. Thank you so much for a wonderful product!

A Close Second
This plum pudding is a close second to the ones prepared with love by my Scottish aunt. It brings back fond memories and not only do I enjoy at least one each holiday, I also send one to my brother.

Enjoyed by the family
I purchased this to enjoy with my family on Christmas Day. The texture was rich and firm and there was just the right amount (in the larger version) for 8 people to have a substantial portion. The brandy sauce was especially good. Everyone commented on how good it was and I will definitely purchase one for the holidays in Dec 2013.

Found out something about the product
While this may seem to be more a review of how to serve the product than of the product itself, trust me-- the point is that you cannot enjoy a product if somehow you mishandle it in the preparation.
I have discovered that if you freeze the plum pudding, and then zap it in the microwave for about twenty to twenty-five seconds, it comes out nice and warm and ooey-gooey-chewy, if you have already sliced it into serving portions.
Thus, I shall rate the taste based on what I believe the preparation should be, and I say excellent!

Nice Christmas Pudding, but...
Be aware, the weight of this item listed is misleading. The total weight of this item INCLUDES the 4oz. jar of brandy butter with 14oz. of plum pudding, bringing it to 1lb 2oz. I have suggested in the past that they change this but I guess they didn't see it as that important. The pudding is good though and I did enjoy it but I don't think I'll be ordering it again.

A holiday favorite
You can't go wrong with this Pudding. It's moist, delicious, and the right blend of ingredients. Definitely mouth watering. The hard sauce just adds to the flavor for those who want a little more sweetness and a decorative touch.

small, but Delicious
This is such a special delight for my husband every holiday.
If you like this, I would definitely recommend this one. With the sauce, it is heavenly.
